Milkman wins $2.25M on Keno
It was business as usual on Sunday night for Australian milkman Colin, despite winning a $2.25 million keno jackpot at the Redcliffe RSL only a day earlier.
The 65-year-old turned up for his usual night shift from 11pm to 10.30am, delivering milk for Spresser’s Dairy Distributors at Clontarf, still in disbelief about his windfall.
On Monday afternoon, Colin took his usual seat at the RSL with partner Angela, treating himself to a coffee and cake.
It was a low-key scene compared to the uproar on Saturday afternoon after his 10 keno numbers came up while enjoying a drink with friends.
Colin said he was not thinking of quitting his job just yet and life was not going to change too dramatically.
“I don’t want to stop work because I like what I’m doing,” he said.
After pulling a well-worn wallet from his pocket, he joked: “I’ll shout myself a new wallet.”
Colin plans to take more holidays now, visiting his children and grandchildren in Victoria.
He also plans taking overseas trips to England and maybe even Canada.
